WEDNESDAY

Today's project uses retired items, but since it is Halloween tomorrow, I thought I would share.  Many of you still have retired products or things that are similar so you could create this banner.

The main ingredient you need for this banner is the Owl Punch.  The owl, ghost and bat are all made with that punch.  Use some different framelits and ribbon if you don't have these and you will still have the same effect.  The letters are stenciled, but you could use the large letter framelits to create the "boo".
Happy Halloween!

FUN FOLD FRIDAY

I am in a special fold swap coming up soon at On Stage in Florida.  I signed up to do an interlocking gate fold.  Here is the card I came up with.

Here is the card to show how it opens from the interlocking position.

The inside
Card is regular size.  Start with a piece of cardstock 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
Score on the long side at 2 18".  Then bring your other side over to meet the folded in piece.  This will assure that your right and left section meet correctly in the middle.

To cut out the Scalloped Oval Framelit, lay your scalloped piece and the next size regular oval inside one another with the oval framelit centered inside the scalloped framelit.  This was Calypso Coral on this card.  Then cut out with the Big Shot.  You know have your frame.  I used the inside of the oval that was cut out to mount in the inside of the card for a message so that piece was not wasted.

Now cut out the same size oval out of your contrasting paper - here it is Night of Navy.

I used the Seasonal Chums stamp set and matching thinlits for the rest of the card.  Snowman is colored with Stampin' Blends and snowflakes are cut out of Champagne Foil Paper.

To make your card interlocking, put Tombow Adhesive on the back left side of the Calypso Coral scalloped piece and adhere it to the left panel on the front of the card.  I put my Silicone Sheet under this when I was adhering it so that I would not get any squirted out glue on the rest of the card.

To make sure I had my blue oval centered inside the scalloped oval, I closed the card and put Tombow on the space on the right side of the flap where the oval would be adhering.  That way when I laid the oval in the scalloped piece it would be perfectly centered.  That worked like a charm.

I thought this was a cute stamp set to use on this card so that I would have something on the inside of the oval piece when the card was opened.

Other supplies:
Champagne Foil cut at 1 7/8 x 5 1/4 for the panels
White cardstock cut at 1 5/8 x 5 for the white size panels.  I also embossed these with the Softly Falling Emb Folder.
Inside piece is 5 1/4 x 4.
Red Rhinestones for the berry on his hat.

This was fun to make and I hope you will try it out.  The possibilities are endless.  There are many samples on Pinterest.  I only had to make 11 so that was very doable.

Hint:  Make sure you attach your blue oval to the card before you adhere anything to the back of it (like the back of the snowman).  You need to put the back of the snowman on after your piece is glued down.  Trust me - I know!  I had to make more snowmen and adhere it to the snowman I put on too early.

MONDAY

I have been designing my Christmas stamp-a-stack cards this weekend.  Here is the first one.  I saw this Cross Stitched Christmas set and just thought I had to have it.  It appealed to my old cross stitch mind in the days before my eye sight went downhill and before I got into stamping as my addiction.

If you don't have a Stamparatus, now is the time to get one.  You can stamp this 3 step stamping project without one, but it would be a little difficult.  With the Stamparatus, it is a breeze.
I used the Stamparatus here with this set and it looks good, but it could be even better.  Watch here to see Sara Douglas, CEO of Stampin' Up as she shows you how to use the Stamparatus for this set.  I'm off to try my hand at this card again!  Click on the video that says cross stitch how to.

Supplies for this card:
White, blueberry bushel cardstock
mint macaron, blueberry bushel, call me clover, crushed curry ink
mint macaron ribbon (retired)
softly falling emb folder

Tomorrow will be an extra post to announce the 24 hour birthday sale.  Don't forget to come back!

FRIDAYHere i

Today's post is a card created by Stesha Bloodhart, using my favorite new set - Country Home.

Isn't it beautiful!?  The background check is created with the new background stamp Buffalo Check (147797 wood) or 147794 (clear).
Just stamp it on any color of paper with your black Momento Ink and have a tw0tone effect.  Imagine the possibilities.  This new stamp is on my order, coming next week.

WEDNESDAY

Here is a cute alternative to the September Paper Pumpkin in case you don't want to make treat bags.  This card was created by Sandy Lewis.

The background spider web paper is actually the treat bag that is cut and spread out.  Too cute.  Thanks, Sandy!

MONDAY

Well, I am away again for a golf week in Myrtle Beach so I will be posting cards I have seen on other sites.  This will just be quick and easy.  Hope you will get some ideas.  Come back Wed and Fri for that.  Right now I am sharing three of the Paper Pumpkin Halloween treat bags that were the project in the September kit.

These are the most adorable things!  I know many people don't like Halloween, but I am not one of those people.  You get to make 24 of these little bags in the kit.
The refill is still orderable until supplies last.  I am ordering my second one because I have so many people I would like to give these to.  The order number is 149540.
The kit will not include the stamp set, but, hopefully, you have a few little Halloween messages you can stamp onto the tag.  Everything else is included in the kit!
Get yours now and have fun creating.
And while you are at it, join Paper Pumpkin and get your very own kit each month.  Click the Paper Pumpkin icon on the right of the blog to find out more about this fun program.
