WEDNESDAY

Oh my goodness!  I am in LOVE with this Sale-a-bration Foil Paper, especially the Grapefruit Grove, that just shines with all kinds of colors.  Here is another card I made using the paper.  It certainly shows up better than yesterday's butterflies.  At the end of the post I will show you the updated butterfly card.

Even my husband said, "That paper is really neat.  I could use it for a fishing lore."

The milk jug stamp was stamped with Staz On and then fussy cut.  The bouquet was stamped with Momento, colored with Stampin' Blends and fussy cut.

Other supplies:
Granny Apple Green cardstock
Oval Framelits
Softly Falling and Tin Tile Embossing Folder (tin tile is carried over from the Holiday Catalog).
Calypso Coral Ombre Ribbon
Dimensionals

You know you have to have this paper!  Place your $50 order and get it for FREE.

MONDAY

I had to start playing with the Sale-a-bration foil paper after seeing a couple of cards.  Today's card uses the Grapefruit Grove foil paper.

There is no way that this picture does justice to this paper!  It shimmers with all different colors and is gorgeous.
I cut off one of the butterflies so that I would have room for a message.  Not sure what I will put there yet.  The extra butterfly will go on the inside of the card.

There are lots of colors you could use for your card base.  I toyed with Calypso Coral and Flirty Flamingo.  I end up with Flirty Flamingo.  Then I made a layer of black, embossed with the Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder.  I popped the butterflies up with mini Dimensionals.

Remember that you can get this beautiful foil paper FREE with your $50 order.  There are 8- 12 x 12 sheets - 4 Grapefruit Grove and 4 Lovely Lipstick in the pack.
If you order the Beauty Abounds Bundle (pg 13 Occasions Cat) you will get the stamp set, beautiful butterfly dies and can then get the foil sheets - just sayin'.
However you choose to use your foil sheets, you will love them!

FUN FOLD FRIDAY

I'm back with a fun fold that coordinates with the Jan Paper Pumpkin kit.  I LOVE,LOVE, LOVE this kit!  Did I say I LOVE this kit?  I am a sucker for boxes and 3D stamping items so this was right up my alley.
These are the adorable treat pillow boxes that were in the kit.  A always, there are extra supplies in your Paper Pumpkin kits and this was no exception.  The kit made 24 boxes and there were enough embellishments (without the pillow box) to make 24 more!

I put Dollar Store items in my pillow boxes and made some easy boxes to use up the rest of the supplies.
Here are the directions for the other box:
DSP measuring 5 3/8 x 5 3/8
Using your Envelope Score Board score at 2 3/8 and 3 1/8.  Do NOT do the punch part.
Cut out the triangle piece in each corner.
Just fold together and adhere.  So easy!  And I used up a bunch of retired DSP that I had.
In these little boxes I put 3 mini Kit Kats - perfect fit.

When I did my folding I used the block that was in my first Paper Pumpkin kit (which you will get also) to help me keep the box straight.  It was a perfect fit and made the gluing so easy.
Then I just slid the block out.

If you would like to get in on all the fun of getting your own Paper Pumpkin kit each month now is the perfect time to subscribe.  If you order  a 3, 6 or 12 subscription you get SAB FREE items.  If you do the 12 month subscription you not only get FREE items, but you get hostess benefits which includes $25 of FREE Stampin' Up products of your choice.

Contact me to get your coupon code so you can place your order.
I hear the Feb kit is pretty great also.

MONDAY

Well, I should have a bunch of samples to show you, but I forgot to take the pictures!!  This past Saturday, another demonstrator and I had a card making event for Sweet Grace Ministries.  This is a local organization, which I have mentioned before, that supports families who have experienced infant loss due to miscarriage, neonatal death, or still birth.
On the anniversary of the babies passing, Sweet Grace sends a card to the family as a reminder that they have not been forgotten.  We needed to make 500 cards and we got it done in 1 hr and 45 minutes!!  These stampers rocked! We were trying to get it done before the snow storm hit and we made it with a lot of time to spare.

Here is a picture of all the cards, bagged and ready to hand over.

And here is a picture of the stampers at work in the newly renovated facility with their new hand made wooden tree on the wall.

We were so grateful for all of the help we received.  It is so unfortunate that the need for so many cards is out there!  However, we are beyond grateful to this organization for the ministry they provide.  We hope to make this an annual event, especially since it went so well.

If you would like to learn more about Sweet Grace, visit the website here.

FRIDAY

Just a quick post today - feeling a little under the weather.

This is a card created by Carol Barr for a Sale-a-bration group swap that I received.  It uses the FREE SAB set Lasting Lily.  Because there are so many images and beautiful messages in this set, you can get this set for FREE with a $100 order instead of $50.  It is definitely worth it!

WEDNESDAY

Today my post is to show another great Paper Pumpkin alternative. Here is my take on the calendar kit that subscribers received.
I really did not need another calendar so I decided to turn each one of the months into a birthday card. I decorated the top with different stampin Up stamps and or dies and came up with these cards. When the card is sent you can Circle the date for the specific birthday that you need.
Some of the dates on these calendar cards are actually not correct. Some people got kids where the dates were mixed up and I was one of them. I have a few calendars for 2019, a few for 20/20, and a few for 2022! Stampin Up would be glad to change them for me free of charge but I decided since I am only making cards with them it does not really matter. Stampin Up is always the best at taking care of issues that we might have.
I will be donating these cards as one of my auction items for a craft for a cure event at the beginning of March. The event supports juvenile diabetes

MONDAY

Today's post shows one of the cards I made for our Joyful Hearts Stampers' Sale-a-bration swap.  It uses the By the Bay stamp set, FREE with your $50 order.

Excuse the finger, but I was taking the picture quickly before I put it in the mail at the post office.  I almost forgot!

For this card you can use Watercolor Paper (122959) or Shimmery White Paper (101910).  I chose the Shimmery paper because I had a bunch to make and Shimmery is a little less expensive.
I used my Aqua Painter to color the image quickly and get a watercolor look.

Here is a video to show you how to use Aqua Painters and/or Blender pens.  In this video it shows you to squeeze the lid to get the ink color in the lid.  You can also put a drop of reinker in the lid to get more ink to play with.

Other supplies used:
Balmy Blue, Pacific Point, Crumb Cake, Mint Macaron card stock
Staz On Ink pad
Ink pads for the Aqua Painter - Balmy Blue, Garden Green, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede
Triple Banner, 1 1/4" punch
Braided Linen Trim (care-over from Holiday cattie - 147808)
Adhesive Backed Sequins - 146933
Seaside Embossing Folder

FRIDAY

Sorry I'm late.  Didn't get posted in advance and my day was full.  Here is a cute winter card from stamp camp this month.  This can be used for most occasions.

Supplies used
Whisper white, black, Bermuda Bay card stock
Momento Ink Pad
Black Ribbon (I think this is retired)
Layering Circle Framelits, Stitched Framelits
Oh My Stars Emb Folder
Snowflakes from Seasonal Layers Thinlits
Seasonal Chums Stamp Set
Buffalo Check Background Stamp
Jewels
Wink of Stella (for snowflakes)

The stamps in the Chums set comes with a matching Die and is made to fold over so you can make tags.  I cut mine apart so that I can use them separately.  If I want to use them together, I just mount them back to back on my block.  Try this if you haven't already.

WEDNESDAY

Here is another one of our stamp cards this week.
Supplies used:
new Humming Along stamp set
White, Night of Navy, Berry Burst card stock
Berry Burst Silver Edge Ribbon (Love this ribbon!)
Delicate Lace Edgelits
Square Framelits
Silver Embossing Powder
Garden Impressions 6 x 6 DSP (cut at 5 1/4 x 2)

Here is a picture of the "putting together" process.  Cut your two edgelits and adhere them with Tombow onto the Night of Navy card stock just so the  design touches the edge.
Then adhere your DSP.  It will come just to the perforated part of the edgelits.
Then adhere the ribbon.

MONDAY

Here is a new stamp set plus SAB item that is sweeping the stamping world. Today's card is one for stamp camp this week.
It uses the Butterfly Gala stamp set and matching Duet Butterfly Punch.

The butterflies on the front of the card are actually from the Sale-a-bration DSP Botanical Butterfly.  The large and small butterflies on the paper line up with the new punch.  However, because they are randomly printed on the DSP, you have to use a little trick to get them punched out.

For the little butterflies I cut a strip of the butterflies. Then turn your punch upside down so you can see and punch them out.

Because of the way they are positioned you may have to use a Post-it as a holder for your DSP.  Attach the sticky part of the post-it onto the edge of the DSP so you can slide it into your punch.

For the large butterfly, I did the same thing, but had to cut each butterfly apart individually and then use the Post-it.

Butterflies are always a favorite and this set and punch are no different.  There are a LOT of butterfly images in the stamp set.  The stamps and punch come in a Bundle for $35 (Occasions Cat pg 35).  Just add a little more to your order and you will have your $50 so you can get the FREE DSP!

Other supplies used:
Swirly Embossing Folder
Grapefruit Grove, Black, White card stock
Calypso Coral Ombre Ribbon
Gingham Gala 6 x 6 DSP

FRIDAY

SALE-A-BRATION IS UNDERWAY
AND
A NEW OCCASIONS CATALOG IS LIVE

I have a fun fold for you, but it will have to wait until next week.  I didn't get the pictures downloaded yet for the directions.

In the meantime here is another card I made for the new cattie swap with the Joyful Heart Stampers Group. I love this new Fable Friends Stamp Set.  It is a little early for spring, but I love the characters.

Once again, excuse the finger and not so good picture.  Took this before running into the PO.
The DSP on this card is the back of one of the papers in the Animal Expedition DSP that matches products in the Animal Outing Bundle (pg 27 AC).
I also used the Petal Pair Embossing Folder, Stampin' Blends, Share What You Love Artisan Pearls (146927 AC) and Berry Burst Metallic Edge Ribbon (145489 AC).
I also used the new Rectangle Stitched Framelits.  YEA!  We have been asking for these and now they are here.

Here is the whole stamp set.  And remember they are now CLING stamps. Yippee!
All new sets will be either Cling or Photopolymer. Wooden and clear stamps from the 2018-2019 AC will transition with the new Annual Catalog in June.

The only thing you need to be careful of is taking them "gently " off of your block. You are going to love them.
Here is a Stampin' Up video telling you about this awesome new product.  Enjoy!

WEDNESDAY

Happy New Year to everyone!
May 2019 bring you good health, happiness, and joy in the Lord!

Just a gentle reminder that today is the last day to order from the Occasions Catalog and also to take advantage of the Year End Sale of products while supplies last.

One of my favorite items that is leaving is the Embossing Mat which lets you take any thinlit or framelit and turn it into an embossing image on your project.
Here is a Stampin' Up video to remind you of how it works.  If you love it, as I do, get it on your order today.  Item # 146327.  Also it regularly sells for $15 and is on sale for $10.50.  Hope it is still available for you.  Check it out.

Here is a card from Frenchie that showcases a framelit and thinlit.

Tomorrow will begin the ordering time for the new Occasions Catalog and also for Sale-a-bration.  See you back on Friday for a new product post.
