MAKE-UP TUESDAY

I am so sorry about not posting on Friday or Monday.  I was at a scrappin' weekend starting Friday and completely forgot.  No excuse for Monday - just tired.  So I am posting today AND Wednesday to fill in.  I got lots done at the scrappin' weekend and will share some of that later.  Today's post is a card we are making at Stamp Camp this week.  I found a similar one on Pinterest and changed it up a bit to add some bling.
This card uses the Balloon Adventures Stamp Set and several thinlits from the Balloon Pop-up Thinlit Dies.  I also used the beautiful SAB FREE Glimmer Paper.  Remember, even when this paper is gone, you can use your ink and color Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and make it the color you need. I have seen several different ways to do this.  You can use your Stampin' Write Marker and just color the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, you can spritz the front and the back of the DD glimmer Paper with a spritzer mixture of ink and alchohol, or you can do a much more intensive way as seen here. Try and see what you like best.  You can view these different ways by searching on Pinterest.
I also used the Enamel Shapes on pg 177 of the Annual Catalog as the embellishments.  Aren't they cute?  Love them!

I believe this is going to be my grandson's birthday card.  I need to get it in the mail.

WEDNESDAY

Oops!  Almost forgot to post.  Time seems to get away from me.  Today's card is one I created for the Proverbial Stampers March Color Challenge.  Winner gets "happy mail" from our wonderful leader, Connie Heisey.

You can be part of this wonderful team by signing up to be a demonstrator NOW.  During Sale-a-bration you get:

Your choice of $125 of product
2 Free Stamp Sets
1 Free Paper Pumpkin Kit
Free Shipping
And all for $99!

THAT'S REALLY $271 of STAMPIN' SUPPLIES!

And you always get your 20% discount on products you order.  These things plus other great percs are great reasons to join.  Please contact me so I can give you more info on becoming a Stampin' Up Demonstrator.  Click HERE to join or contact me personally.

Now here is the card for today:

  • The colors to use were Night of Navy, Mint Macaron, and White.
  • First I ran the white layer through the Big Shot with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.  I used the Simply Scored to make raised lines on the side and the bottom and then laid Mint Macaron Ribbon in the center of the lines. The lines are 1/2" apart.
  • Then I cut out the flower and leaves with the Rose Garden Thinlits.
  • Trace around the flower on a piece of shimmery white or plain white cardstock and cut it out, cutting on the inside of the trace lines. Using your sponge dauber or a section of a large sponge, color the white flower with Night of Navy Ink.
  • My final step was to go over the blue flower with Wink of Stella for a little bling.

MONDAY SAB COUNTDOWN!

Only 5 more days until Sale-a-bration ends!  Don't miss out on getting your favorite items or just those staples you always use.  Each $50 ordered entitles you to a FREE SAB item.  Here is a card using the Tasty Trucks FREE set.

To color the truck I used the new Watercolor Pencils and my Blender Pen.
When you place a $50 or more order this month your name will be put in the drawing for winning a FREE set of these new pencils, so now is your chance!
Use the Hostess Code at the top of the panel on the right side of this page or place your own Customer Order. Just a heads up - there are several SAB FREE items that are already gone - the glimmer paper, the card tin, and both of the embossing folders that were brought out for the third reveal.  However, there are still lots of goodies left so don't let that stop you.
You can click the Shop Now icon to order and you can also view all of the SAB items by clicking on the catalogs to the right in case you don't have the brochures.
Get truckin' - you only have 5 days left!

FRIDAY FILM DAY

Click here to see a video by Sara Douglass, Stampin' Up CEO using the emboss resist technique with the Sale-a-bration Outside the Lines DSP.  You will have to scroll down on her fb page until you come to the one showing the DSP Emboss Resist Technique.  Couldn't get the video to load any other way.
This is an old technique and sometimes we forget to pull those "old" ideas off the shelf and use them.

Now here are a few cards I created using her technique.  My favorite is definitely the butterfly one.  I used several different stamp sets to get some different effects.

Now you go ahead and try it and see what you can come up with.  Have fun!

WINTER'S OVER WEDNEDAY!

Spring is really here!  Yea!  That's one great thing and here is another:

There is a third group of FREE SAB products that has now been selected for you to choose from and HERE THEY ARE:

No automatic alt text available.

The products numbers are as follows:
1473612016-2018 In Color 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock
147365Party Animal Designer Series Paper
147363Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper
147364Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper
147362Party Animal Designer Washi Tape
147360Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
147356Sparkle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

These products are from the regular catalog and have been brought out for you to use as your FREE product with your $50 purchase.  You must use the numbers that are listed here on your order.  The Tins and the Glimmer Paper are now gone.  So, if there is something you really want, please order ASAP because free items are only "while supplies last".

Here is a card using the Hey Chick Stamp Set, which is one of the original FREE sets and is still available for order.

If you place an order, please just order as a Customer Order instead of using the Hostess Code.  Your order will once again come directly to you.  Several people ordered this way instead of using the Hostess Code so I am not sure we will have the right amount for you to receive Hostess Benefits if I pull your name, as promised before.  I will, instead, pull a name from anyone who has placed a $50 order this month and they will receive a box of the new Watercolor Pencils as my gift to you.  Good luck and get that order posted before March 31st.

MONDAY

Today's post is a car I made for a niece and nephew who just had their second child - a little girl to join their sweet brother.

I used the awesome Falling In Love DSP  and the two sided Lace Doilies (both on pg 51 of Occasions Cat).  The stamp set for the message is Thoughtful Banners (pg 73 of Annual Cat) and the matching Duet Banner Punch.  The little dress is from the Baby's First Framelits.  The ribbon is retired - too bad because I loved this elastic, ruffly ribbon.

Can't wait to see this new addition to the family.

FREEBIE FRIDAY

Just another reminder that Sale-a-bration will end at the end of the month and your chance to get FREE products with each $50 ordered.
One of the free products this year was the tin.  Unfortunately, they are sold out now, but I wanted to show you what I did with mine in case you got one already or in case they pop up again or if you see a similar one, you will have an idea for decorating.

I used Washi Tape to decorate on the white stripes.  For the top I used the Detailed Floral Framelit and the Dragonfly Thinlits for the lid and above the letters.  I put Glimmer Paper behind the large dragonfly and the letters.  The letters are from a retired set.
I will be using this for a golf auction prize next month.  It is filled with 36 cards.  Sure hope the winning bidder likes it!
