FRIDAY FOLD DAY

Today's post is a cute and easy little folded Ghiradelli Candy holder.  I made this as a little thank you for the physical therapist who has helped me with my shoulder.  Wednesday was my last day for PT and now I will do my exercises at home.

Here is the finished project and then I will show you the steps to create one yourself.

These are the pieces you will need and the measurements:

• 1 piece of cardstock at 8 5/8 x 2 5/8 - score at 2 7/8, 3 5/8, 6 1/2, 7 1/4.  Use your Corner Rounder Punch to round the corners of the short end.
• 2 pieces of cardstock at 3 x 2 7/8, scored every half inch with the 3" side at the top of your Score Pal.  Fold on the score lines like a fan, back and forth, with the first fold being a mountain fold.  Go over creases with your bone folder.
• 2 pieces of DSP - 1 at 2 5/8 x 2 3/8, the other at 1 1/8 x 2 3/8.  Round two corners of the small DSP piece.

After folding your two smaller card stock pieces, attach them to the edges of the middle section of your large piece with Tombow. The accordion piece "flap" should be heading to the inside of the holder. 

Now put Tombow on the top accordion fold and bring the front of the holder around to attach to the accordion pieces.  I put glue on both at the same time because it is hard to get back in to glue one once you have already glued down the other side.

Put a Velcro dot on the lid and holder to keep closed.  Add two Ghiradelli candies.

This holder was actually made to hold tea bags, but this candy is also a perfect fit.

I got this idea from Carol Barr who got it from Liebe Grube Isabella.  At least I think that is her name.  I went to her blog and it is in German, I believe, so I'm not sure if I got the name right or not.  But thank you to her for this cute idea.
