This picture does not do this justice for sure! I wanted to show this cute idea, though. Wouldn't this make the cutest gift?! She made this darling Christmas necklace and matching earrings out of Shrinky Dinks using the Christmas Sweater Stamp Set. I hope you can click on this and make it bigger so you can see it better. I might have to try this myself. Thanks, Deb, for your great crafty creation.

Speaking of Shrinky Dinks, I have to show you this awesome necklace made by my talented friend and fellow demonstrator, Debbie Paisie. She does the most wonderful things!

WEDNESDAY
Here are the wine glass markers we made on our girls' beach trip.
There were 7 different designs, but I haven't loaded al the pics on my computer yet. Most of us used the By the Seashore retired stamp set. Two girls used the little dogs in the Bella and Friends set. I had never made shrinky dinks before and it was really fun! I think I will be making some Christmas ones for the family to use on Christmas Eve.
The hoop part is an earring base found at Hobby Lobby.

MONDAY
Just back from beach week so doing a quick post till I get settled back in. I realized that for the mini pizza box post I did on Wed, I showed you the inside with the note cards but didn't show you the decorated outside. So here is what the two different boxes look like.
I used the Daisy Punch and the Double Banner Punch, new Leaf Punch, Delightful Daisy DSP, White Perfect Accents, and a Gold Faceted Gem. I am LOVING these boxes. They are very sturdy, easy to put together and decorate, and have a glazed inside so you can put something like a cookie inside and it will not leak through the box. And even better - you get 8 for $6.00. Product number is 144645 in case you want to add them to your on-line order.
Come back tomorrow to see a quick, easy little craft we made at the beach, which you could also use for Christmas gifts.

FRIDAY
Today's boxes have a Christmas theme.
The box at the top I won at our meeting. The deer box uses a window sheet and framelits to cut the hole - also the new LOVELY Champagne Foil Paper. On the box on the right, I used Embossing Paste and colored it with red ink. Then I just added some embellishment and the cute little mini bow from the Holiday catalog. They are a good deal and so cute - come in red, green and white. You have to have these!

WEDNESDAY
Here are three more mini pizza box ideas.
These boxes are the perfect size for little notecards, using our mini envelopes. The ones on the left using DSP and the Daisy stamp set. The one on the right contains cards left over from the Soft Sayings Card Kit. Now, who will I be giving these to?
See you Friday for some Christmas boxes.

MONDAY
I am pre-posting this week's posts because I am now at the beach. Yippee! Hoping that Hurricane Jose stays out to sea.
For our team meetings I did a presentation on the mini pizza boxes in the Holiday Catalog. So that is what I will share this week. Here are the first 3, centering around special days. Yes, you can cut the box with a thinlit and run it through the Big Shot.

I love how these turned out.

FUN FOLD FRIDAY
Just a quick share this morning as I rush out the door for a full day. I am sharing several bridge fold cards made by Sondra Jumper at our Sept stamp fest. She also made several others that were beautiful.
If you look up bridge fold on Pinterest you can find several demonstrations of how to do this. I haven't done one yet myself, but it is on my to-do list. Here is one tutorial that is quick and easy by Lyssa Griffin Zwolanek. Thanks, Lyssa.
Come back next week. I will be at the beach, but have three posts that will share samples of the mini pizza boxes I decorated as a demonstration for our Joyful Heart Stampers' meeting. So much fun.

THURSDAY
Back again today. The card I am sharing today is one made by Tiffany who demonstrated at our stamp fest. Stampin' Up has brought back the Glossy Card Stock and I am so glad. There are so many things you can do with glossy. Here is one of her samples.
This is called the Faux Woodgrain technique. This is really very simple to do. Just open your ink pad and make sure the lid is clicked into place so it doesn't slide around. Then take your pad and simply slide it down your glossy paper with a direct to paper approach. Then go back and use just the edges of the ink pad to slide some "lines" or "grain" onto the paper. You can use one color or multiple colors together for a different look. Let your paper dry for a few minutes before adding more layers.
I will definitely be trying to make some of these. I love that we can bring back some old techniques.
See you again Friday for my regular Friday post.

WEDNESDAY
So sorry I missed Monday. Not sure where it went. I am posting a picture today of a card we made at our Joyful Heart Stampers stamp fest. It is SO pretty and yet so simple. Isn't that sometimes the case?! I think this might be one of our Christmas stamp-a-stack cards.
This picture does not do this card justice, because it uses the beautiful Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape from the Holiday Catalog that is shiny and sparkly and WOW! The message is heat embossed with gold to add another layer of bling. I LOVE this card.
Come back tomorrow for another card post since I forgot to blog on Monday.

FRIDAY
I have been working on some simple cards for a new venture. On Monday I will be having a card class at a local retirement community. The people there are not all OLD so I think it is something they will enjoy doing. Here are the cards we will be making. I'll let you know how it goes. The cards use some retired DSP and Washi Tapae.
Both of these cards with their messages, make me think of all the people in Houston and those in the path of Hurricane Irma. Prayers surely go out to them for safety. My prayer is that God will turn this storm out to see. We need a miracle!

WEDNESDAY
This morning I am sharing the Embossing Paste display board that I shared at our Saturday Stamp Fest. I have showed you several of these cards, but put a few new ones on the board. Once you get started playing with the paste it is hard to stop and there are more and more ways to use it displayed on Pinterest.
I am hoping that you can click on this picture to make it larger so you can see the description by each card. I also shared the two cards I had posted here on the blog a couple of days ago. Try your hand at using the paste and see what you can come up with. Have fun!
Click on the Shop Now button to order yours and any other products you might want now that the Holiday Catalog is out. Hostess Code is at top of the side bar.
If you have any questions about the embossing techniques shown here, feel free to contact me.

First of all, Happy Labor Day. Thanks to all of those who still work outside the home to make our lives easier. Hopefully, you are off today.
First thing I want to announce is a new promotion called Merry Patterns.
I LOVE this, don't you?!

And HERE is a video from Stampin' Up to show you the fun stamp set and some ways to use it. Contact me to host a party, then call your friends to do some fun stamping.
Now to share a project. We had so much fun at our meeting and Holiday Stamp Fest on Saturday. There were great demos of new products and wonderful make n' take cards created by members of our team. Here is one that uses one of my favorite new sets, Painted Harvest, created by Ellen Adams.

FRIDAY
I have been working on a couple more embossing paste samples for our Joyful Heart's Stampers meeting and stamp fest on Saturday. Here is what I came up with:
Here is how to create this look:
- Create a mask by cutting out a shape using your Big Shot and a piece of regular copy paper. You can use any shape or size you want. For mine I used the largest square in the Layering Squares Framelits. It should be the same size as the card stock piece you want to use embossing paste on. Here, this one is 4 x 5 1/4.
- Next, lay your piece of card stock underneath the mask and adhere with Washi Tape so they don't move.
-
Lay your stencil on top of the whole thing. Center it or make it random, whatever look you are going for. On one of the cards I laid the pattern straight across and for the other one I angled it.
Then just apply your embossing paste in the normal way. My paste was first colored with Chocolate Chip ink.Today is the big reveal for the Holiday Catalog. It goes live and you will love it! Click on the link to the right to see it if you don't have one yet. I will be glad to see you get one if you contact me.Have a great weekend. Looking forward to our stamp fest where we will see all kinds of new products and get to make some fun cards.
