Sorry this is a little late, but I was working on a new fold card, and, as often happens, I got carried away.
Here is the card I created using a Dutch Card Fold
I found this fold here on Beccy Muir's website. She has directions, but I am going to give you the measurements I used.
Her card measured 6 x 4 when completed and I wanted the card to fit into a regular sized envelope. Here are my directions to make that happen:
- Base card cut at 9" x slightly under 4". This will make the bottom flap fit snugly around the card base. (In my sample here I cut the card stock at 9 x 3 7/8 and I didn't like that the flap did not fit snugly). Score at 3 1/2"
- Flap cut at 8 x 2. Score at 2" and 6".
- Put adhesive on the center section of the flap near the score lines and adhere to the back of the card base so the flaps will come to the front and wrap around the card.
- When you adhere the oval, make sure you put adhesive only along the top so the bottom can lift up to open the card.
Supplies used:
White card stock, Painted With Love DSP, Amazing You SAB stamp set, Gold Embossing Powder and Versa Mark Pad, Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers, Wink of Stella, Layering Ovals Framelits.
I colored the leaves of the flower stamp with a Pear Pizazz Marker and stamped onto the c.s.
I stamped the flower two times. I cut around the outside border and glued it to the card. Then I cut out the inside layer of the flower and popped it up with a Dimensional on top of the base flower. I "winkered" the flower, but it is hard to see.
Have fun with this card fold. It is quick and easy.
