This beautiful project was a gift from Connie Heisey at our Proverbial Stampers demonstrator meeting. Several of us demoed techniques and she gave these to us as a thank you gift. WOW!
This was made by using the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set and stamping on our canvas sheet from page 192 of the Annual Catalog. The sheet is 12 x 12 so I believe she cut it in half and made 2 from each sheet. Isn't it awesome! I have to say that I had trouble finding a frame that was the right size. Possibly, going to your local hobby store and getting an exact frame made would be the best solution. I found this frame on sale at a department store, popped out the burlap project that was nailed in, and placed my canvas in the frame. I had to glue it down to a piece of cardstock to make it more stable and make it fit. It still isn't perfect, but, for now, it serves the purpose and I can display it proudly! I believe Connie may have seen the idea on Frenchie's blog, but her video has been removed.
This may have to be a future class - possibly doing 4 small frames. I actually found another 4 frame product that I am going to try and make for a gift for a special someone. I'll show it to you later if it turns out the way I hope.
